Although they have not thrown an MLB pitch in 2024, Anthony Reyes threw 2,279 pitches that were tracked by the PITCHf/x system between 2007 and 2009, all of them occuring in the MLB Regular Season. In 2009, they relied primarily on their Fourseam Fastball (88mph) and Change (76mph), also mixing in a Curve (76mph). He also rarely threw a Sinker (90mph).
In 2009, compared to other RHP:
Their fourseam fastball comes in below hitting speed, has heavy sinking action and generates fewer whiffs/swing compared to other pitchers' fourseamers. Their change comes in below hitting speed, has slight cut action and results in somewhat more flyballs compared to other pitchers' changeups. Their curve has slightly below average velo. Their sinker (take this with a grain of salt because they've only thrown 1 of them in 2009) is basically never swung at and missed compared to other pitchers' sinkers, is an extreme flyball pitch compared to other pitchers' sinkers, has surprisingly little armside run and has slightly below average velo.
