Detroit Tigers
Although they have not thrown an MLB pitch in 2025, Nick Tepesch threw 4,161 pitches that were tracked by the PITCHf/x system between 2013 and 2017, including pitches thrown in the MLB Regular Season and Spring Training. In 2017, they relied primarily on their Fourseam Fastball (89mph) and Sinker (89mph), also mixing in a Slider (84mph) and Curve using a Knuckle Curve grip (79mph). He also rarely threw a Change (86mph).
In 2017, compared to other RHP:
Their fourseam fastball has heavy sinking action, has much less armside movement than typical, has below average velo and results in somewhat more flyballs compared to other pitchers' fourseamers. Their sinker has surprisingly little armside run, has below average velo, results in somewhat more flyballs compared to other pitchers' sinkers and has some natural sinking action. Their slider is basically never swung at and missed compared to other pitchers' sliders and is an extreme flyball pitch compared to other pitchers' sliders. Their curve using a knuckle curve grip has an exceptional bite, is basically never swung at and missed compared to other pitchers' curves and results in somewhat more groundballs compared to other pitchers' curves. Their change (take this with a grain of salt because they've only thrown 8 of them in 2017) is basically never swung at and missed compared to other pitchers' changeups, results in more flyballs compared to other pitchers' changeups and is slightly firmer than usual.
