Non-MLB
Although they have not thrown an MLB pitch in 2026, Joe Barlow threw 3,549 pitches that were tracked by the PITCHf/x system between 2021 and 2025, including pitches thrown in the MLB Regular Season and Spring Training. In 2025, they relied primarily on their Slider (87mph) and Fourseam Fastball (94mph), also mixing in a Splitter (83mph) and Curve (79mph). He also rarely threw a Sinker (88mph).
In 2025, compared to other RHP:
Their slider has primarily 12-6 movement and results in somewhat more flyballs compared to other pitchers' sliders. Their fourseam fastball has essentially average velo and has slightly less natural movement than typical. Their splitter has some natural sink to it and has slightly below average velo. Their curve has primarily 12-6 movement and results in somewhat more flyballs compared to other pitchers' curves. Their sinker (take this with a grain of salt because they've only thrown 12 of them in 2025) is so slow that it is substantially gravitational, generates an extremely high number of swings & misses compared to other pitchers' sinkers, is an extreme flyball pitch compared to other pitchers' sinkers and has surprisingly little armside run.
