Pitch Repertoire At-A-Glance

Although they have not thrown an MLB pitch in 2023, Glenn Otto threw 2,857 pitches that were tracked by the PITCHf/x system between 2021 and 2022, including pitches thrown in the MLB Regular Season and Spring Training. In 2022, they relied primarily on their Sinker (92mph), Slider (81mph) and Fourseam Fastball (93mph), also mixing in a Curve (81mph) and Change (88mph). He also rarely threw a Cutter (91mph).

In 2022, compared to other RHP:
His sinker is a prototypical pitch with few remarkable qualities. His slider sweeps across the zone, has exceptional depth, results in more flyballs compared to other pitchers' sliders and has below average velo. His fourseam fastball generates an extremely high number of swings & misses compared to other pitchers' fourseamers, has less armside movement than typical, has some natural sinking action, has essentially average velo and results in somewhat more groundballs compared to other pitchers' fourseamers. His curve has a sharp downward bite, is slightly harder than usual and has primarily 12-6 movement. His change is basically never swung at and missed compared to other pitchers' changeups, is much firmer than usual and has slight armside fade. His cutter is a real worm killer that generates an extreme number of groundballs compared to other pitchers' cutters and has well above average velo.
