Chicago White Sox
Bryan Hudson has thrown 4,357 pitches that have been tracked by the PITCHf/x system between 2023 and 2026, including pitches thrown in the MLB Regular Season and Spring Training. In 2026, they have relied primarily on their Fourseam Fastball (92mph) and Slider (80mph). He also rarely throws a Sinker (90mph), Cutter (85mph) and Change (84mph).
In 2026, compared to other LHP:
Their fourseam fastball has heavy sinking action, generates a high number of swings & misses compared to other pitchers' fourseamers and has essentially average velo. Their slider sweeps across the zone, has exceptional depth, generates fewer whiffs/swing compared to other pitchers' sliders and results in somewhat more groundballs compared to other pitchers' sliders. Their sinker generates an extremely high number of swings & misses compared to other pitchers' sinkers, has heavy sinking action, is an extreme flyball pitch compared to other pitchers' sinkers and has slight armside run. Their cutter (take this with a grain of salt because they've only thrown 19 of them in 2026) has heavy sink and results in more flyballs compared to other pitchers' cutters. Their change (take this with a grain of salt because they've only thrown 1 of them in 2026) is basically never swung at and missed compared to other pitchers' changeups, has surprising cut action, dives down out of the zone, is an extreme flyball pitch compared to other pitchers' changeups and is slightly firmer than usual.
