Although they have not thrown an MLB pitch in 2023, Chase Silseth threw 501 pitches that were tracked by the PITCHf/x system in 2022, all of them occuring in the MLB Regular Season. In 2022, they relied primarily on their Fourseam Fastball (96mph), Splitter (87mph) and Slider (84mph), also mixing in a Sinker (94mph). He also rarely threw a Curve (79mph).
In 2022, compared to other RHP:
His fourseam fastball has well above average velo. His splitter is slightly firmer than usual and results in somewhat more flyballs compared to other pitchers' splitters. His slider has exceptional depth, results in many more groundballs compared to other pitchers' sliders and has short glove-side cut. His sinker is an extreme flyball pitch compared to other pitchers' sinkers, generates fewer whiffs/swing compared to other pitchers' sinkers and has well above average velo. His curve has an exceptional bite, generates fewer whiffs/swing compared to other pitchers' curves and has primarily 12-6 movement.
