Roy Halladay

Toronto Blue Jays

Pitch Repertoire At-A-Glance

Although they have not thrown an MLB pitch in 2024, Roy Halladay threw 20,079 pitches that were tracked by the PITCHf/x system between 2007 and 2013, all of them occuring in the MLB Regular Season. In 2013, they relied primarily on their Cutter (88mph), Sinker (90mph) and Curve (77mph), also mixing in a Splitter (82mph).

In 2013, compared to other RHP:
Their cutter is basically never swung at and missed compared to other pitchers' cutters, results in more flyballs compared to other pitchers' cutters, has surprisingly little cutting action and has good "rise". Their sinker is basically never swung at and missed compared to other pitchers' sinkers, has below average velo, results in more flyballs compared to other pitchers' sinkers, has slight armside run and has some natural sinking action. Their curve has below average velo, results in more flyballs compared to other pitchers' curves and has little depth. Their splitter (take this with a grain of salt because they've only thrown 12 of them in 2013) comes in below hitting speed, has dives down out of the zone, is an extreme flyball pitch compared to other pitchers' splitters and has slight armside fade.
